5 Romanov Lane is a 6-storey brick residential building, the former apartment house of Count Sheremetev, built in 1913 by the famous Moscow architect Chernetsov. The architectural style is late Modern. In 1913, the Moscow City Duma organized a competition in which the most interesting houses of the capital participated. It was called "For the beauty of the facade of the city." One of the prizes went to the architectural design of the Sheremetev house in Romanov Lane. The facade decor is made using stone plaster, which was popular in Moscow at the beginning of the twentieth century. The houses of the complex are located in such a way that an impressive courtyard is located between them. In the following years, the house was constantly reconstructed with the same preservation of the exterior of the building. The complex has a landscaped fenced area. Within walking distance of magnificent monuments of architecture and art, nearby - the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Gogol Square, restaurants, theaters, museums. There are only 40 apartments in the house, with an area of up to 280 m2. Secure ground parking.
