About the house on Solyanka street,1/2c1
The house on Solyanka Street No. 1/2, p. 1 is a former profitable house of the Moscow Merchant Society, built in the early XIX century by the architect V. V. Sherwood, I. A. German and A. E. Sergeev. After the revolution, it was taken over by the People's Commissariat of Railways, the so-called "House of MPS".
Today the house is completely renovated. The complex has an internal passage that wraps around the main rectangular block with two courtyards-wells. The front facade of the house, made in the neoclassical style, faces the Solyanka with high, 2-storey storefronts of shops and restaurants. Luxury entrance, landscaped courtyard, security.
