Napoleon is not the only foreigner who was eager to go to Moscow

Moscow is a city with record housing prices, but foreign citizens often try to buy an elite apartment in the capital, regardless of the costs incurred, because such a purchase is extremely profitable for those who constantly do business here and have to come to the city often.

People who have come to Moscow from abroad do not care much about the presence of expensive shops (they have already seen a lot of them) or the "coolness" of the districts. Foreigners want to enjoy the beauty and choose accommodation in the most picturesque places, sometimes refusing such seemingly necessary things as parking for a car, security or concierge. Houses on the embankments, in historical parts of the city, such as the Arbat or near parks - that's their choice. The remaining criteria of demand depend on the national mentality of the visitor.

Most of the real estate in the capital is bought by French citizens. This is not surprising – many firms have their representative offices in Moscow. This applies to all industries - from the sale of cosmetics to cars. They especially like the architecture of old Moscow, so the citizens of this country choose Zamoskvorechye, Clean and Patriarchal ponds, streets Bolshaya Nikitskaya and Cookery. These residents really like all Stalin's skyscrapers. The requirements of the French for housing are peculiar. They like spacious entrances, large rooms, high ceilings. They don't like driving either, so they live not far from work. The French are not demanding of living conditions, they calmly put up with old pipes and mediocre repairs. If it is necessary to buy or rent an elite apartment, the citizens of this country adhere to the same criteria.

Turkish citizens are engaged in the construction business in Moscow. They prefer modern buildings in various districts of Moscow.

Americans are mainly represented by the banking sector and international audit. Top managers of companies such as Deloitte, KMPG, Ernst & Young are happy to live outside the city, are not afraid of traffic jams and are ready to do a lot to live in the suburbs. Their favorite type of housing is a townhouse. It has a lot of auxiliary utility rooms – dressing rooms, dryers, storerooms. They are very uncomfortable in standard apartments.

The British are represented in the capital by employees of embassies and joint ventures. Like the French, residents of foggy Albion adore large apartments – "Stalinka". Unlike the French, they don't really care about the beauty of the surroundings, but they need proximity to water. All the capital's embankments are their settlement zone.

Israeli citizens are practical and often try to buy an apartment in an elite house, choosing an area with developed infrastructure. They care little about beauty and ceilings, but the standard requirements of Israelis are parking, security, proximity to shops. In matters of choosing real estate, they are very similar to Muscovites, and this is understandable, because there are many people from mixed marriages among them and they are almost "ours".
